Hello there!

I’m Stacee.

I am obviously not David Tennant or am I? but, I have an aversion to putting pictures of myself on the internet.  Plus, I think I’m pretty much known on the interwebs by a particular photo of David Tennant, so we’ll just continue to go with that.

Except here’s the gif.

I guess if you’re on this page, you want to know a little bit about me, so how about some random things:

  1. I started my love affair with reading in the 3rd grade after being sent to read with the 8th grade class.  I kept getting in trouble for not paying attention to the teacher because I was too busy reading ahead of her.
  2. My reading journey went backwards: I read Stephen King and Dean Koontz when I was a kid {I read Christine when I was 8} and am now reading YA as an adult.
  3. I usually read at least one book a day, sometimes it’s more.  My record is 4 in one day.
  4. Pride + Prejudice is my favorite book and it is the first book I read every January 1.  I try to watch the epic 6 hour BBC extravaganza once a year.  Because Colin Firth FTMFW.
  5. The more I love a book, the less I have to say about it.
  6. I tend to swear.
  7. A lot.
  8. I was double sorted on Pottermore {once when it started and then again when it relaunched} and took Time’s Ultimate Harry Potter Sorting Quiz and all results were Slytherin. This pleases me greatly.
  9. London is one of my favorite places in the world.
  10. This blog was started on a whim and a suggestion and if you would have told me when I started that I would still be doing it in 6+ years, I wouldn’t have believed you.
  11. I type all of my recaps on my phone while the event is happening {unless I’m moderating}.  I have heard people in the audience whispering about how rude I was being for not looking at the authors while they were talking.
  12. There are always typos in my posts.  By the time I actually hit “publish”, I’ve stared at the screen {whether it’s my phone or laptop} eleventy billion times and it’s a small miracle I can even see words. Or that my eyeballs are still in my head.
  13. I loathe even numbers.
