Here we are for another edition of Look At What I Got in the Mail!

Once upon a time, I was flailing about on twitter about Split Second by Kasie West.  I had borrowed the arc from Jaime and just loved it.  Kasie had a couple of contests on twitter to win an arc [I think one of them was to guess what time she’d be home after a delayed flight, but I could be making that up].  Alas, I didn’t win.  However, I did get an email from Kasie telling me that even though I didn’t get a copy of Split Second, she would send me an arc of On the Fence when she got them.

And then one day, this gorgeous thing showed up in my mailbox.

There was an auction to benefit the Humane Society and I had seen a few authors tweeting about signed copies of their books being up for grabs.  I still hadn’t gotten a finished copy of Between the Devil and the Deep Blue Sea because I was waiting to get a signed copy.  It turns out that April’s book was one of the auction pieces.  And hooray, I won! I requested it to be personalized, but wasn’t expecting it.

So, when I opened the book, I was super excited to see my name.

I was able to get my greedy hands on an arc of A Darkness Strange and Lovely and then later, Strange and Ever After.  I then took to twitter.  I wanted to put it out into the universe that I was looking for an arc of Something Strange and Deadly to complete the series in arcs.  I wasn’t actually expecting to get a response [especially since it’s been a couple of years since the release], but figured why not.

Surprise, surprise, I got an email from Sooz saying that she had an extra arc and would be happy to send it to me.  After I picked myself up off the ground from the flails, I managed not to email back with “YES. YES. A MILLION TIMES YES.” [Although, I think that’s actually what I said.]

This gorgeous thing showed up one day and I’m happy to report that they all look so pretty together on my shelf.

The girls at The YA Bookcase are pretty awesome.  Not only do they post great reviews, but they often host giveaways on their Twitter account for arcs that they get.  And I’ve been able to get a couple of things…

We all know that I’m a spoiled brat… What pretties have you gotten lately?

  1. dhkjhsjhjds I received an ARC of On The Fence this week but a signed ARC is just amazing.
I mean any signed book is amazing. So Jealous, another reason why living in Australia is hard. Signed Copies are just so easy to get in other countries.

Oh man, On the Fence is amazing. Signed books are pretty awesome. I do love collecting them.

Do you get any author signings in Australia?

Thank you for reading and commenting!

Yay! I’m so glad you found your arc. I don’t think you’re spoiled. I love your love of all things books!
