Hi everyone!  Another month has gone by…well, technically not yet, but this weekend is YallWest and I’ll be spending the evening getting packed for that, so I doubt I’ll have time to read.  Or post this.  Hence the early recap.

In April I read a total of 25 books. It should have been more, but after reading The Star-Touched Queen, I didn’t pick anything up for 6 days.  Yeah, it was that good. {Click on the covers for my review on GR}

Two of the books I’m counting beta reader sign ups through an app.  One was for Jennifer Rush and a manuscript she’s revisiting.  The other was When I Wake by Elizabeth Norris. I also read The Proposal from Katie McGarry.  It was a couple of chapters covering the proposal between Noah and Echo.  Obviously they don’t have covers…

After three attempts I was finally able to get my greedy hands on the Hamilton book.  Barnes & Noble had The Raven King out 5 days early and I almost lost my mind. And the lovely Susan Bishop Crispell sent me an arc of her new book {which has pie on the cover}. I was also able to get an arc of And I Darken and the awesome First in Line tote at FoB.  There are a few other things I got, but never actually took photos of them.  I’ll include them in next month’s haul.

  • I woke up to a fancy email from Goodreads telling me that I was in the top 1% of reviewers on the site.  There’s something like 40 million users, so the idea that I’m in that group sort of blows my mind.  Thank you all for reading and liking my reviews!

  1. I will have to swing back around to read your Dreamology and Wild Swans posts. I had such high hopes for The Lie Tree after reading the synopsis; oh well. I think I have two books to read before I get to it. The last three books in the Raven Cycle, along with the Red Rising books are my summer vacation reading. Have a wonderful May. :)
